After leaving the house at 10:00 "Stan time", we were on our way back to Bolton. On the way down we stopped to see Hadrian's Wall, a wall built by the romans about 2,000 years ago. |

We couldn't get out of the car to get a closer look or to get to some of the prime wall viewing sites because of Foot and Mouth. |

We then drove along the west coast to the Lake District and stopped at the Swinside Inn for lunch. Jeff and Tammy claim the Swinside Inn has some of the best pub food in England...they were right! |
